Slave Cylinder

Service and repair of the Clutch Slave Cylinder requires users to disconnect the clutch line using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 while catching the fluid into a container and tightening the line to 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.). The two release cylinder mounting bolts need removal while applying 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) of torque. The bleeder plug needs a 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 57 inch lbs.) torque for removal followed by pulling out the boot with the push rod before easily extracting the piston by blowing compressed air into the release cylinder. The first step to reassemble the piston is to apply lithium soap base glycol grease onto it followed by inserting the spring and piston into the cylinder before mounting the boot together with its push rod to the cylinder. To finish up the process, technicians perform installation by following the opposite steps of removal then conduct clutch system bleeding.
