Condenser Assembly

The procedure to remove the HVAC system condenser includes battery terminal cable disconnect and waiting at least 90 seconds to avoid activating Air Bags and seat belt pretensioners. The refrigeration system requires refrigerant discharge as the next step in the process. Disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose by removing the bolt attached to the hose and picking off the O-ring before covering the openings with vinyl tape. Sealing the disconnected part openings requires vinyl tape to stop both moisture and foreign matter from entering. Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe through removal of its two bolts and the pipe before removing its O-ring and sealing the openings with tape. The process requires users to remove two bolts with accompanying brackets from the radiator support upper bracket. Unscrewing the 3 bolts together with the hood lock enables hood lock assembly removal. After that sequence remove the low pitched horn assembly and the high pitched horn assembly. The radiator support upper bracket requires removal by removing its 2 nuts and 5 bolts. To complete the procedure you must eliminate the cooler condenser assembly.

Starting to remove the HVAC condenser demands initial disconnecting of the negative battery terminal cable then a 90-second wait period for Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner deactivation. The refrigeration system requires the disposal of refrigerant as a next step. You must disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose by removing its bolt and hose and then removing the O-ring. The disconnected parts must receive moisture and foreign matter protection via vinyl tape installation. The procedure involves disconnecting the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe after removing both bolts and the pipe together with taking off the O-ring and sealing the exposed ends with vinyl tape. After removal of the 2 bolts and 2 brackets at the radiator support upper bracket it can be detached. You must unlatch the hood lock assembly through the removal of three bolts and one hood lock. The next step involves taking out both the low pitched horn assembly together with the high pitched horn assembly. You should disassemble the radiator support upper by removing its 5 bolts along with 2 nuts. Conclude the process by taking away the cooler condenser assembly.

Remove the attached vinyl tape, apply ND-OIL 8 compressor oil or equivalent to a new O-ring and the fitting surface, install the O-ring, and secure the pipe to the cooler condenser with 2 bolts at a torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 47 in-lbf).

Use 5 bolts and 2 nuts, torqued to 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf).

Install the radiator support upper using 5 bolts and 2 nuts, tightening to a torque of 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf).

Proceed to install the high pitched horn assembly and the low pitched horn assembly.

Remove the cooler condenser assembly.

Remove the vinyl tape, apply compressor oil (ND-OIL 8 or equivalent) to a new O-ring and the fitting surface, install the O-ring, and secure the pipe with 2 bolts, torqued to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 47 in.lbf).
