    Q:
How to install the Vapor Canister on Scion tC? Posted by Customer
    A:
Installation of the Evaporative Emission Control Canister starts with installing the canister filter sub-assembly through a bolt torque to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf) and connecting its two hoses. The installation of the canister begins by first hooking the claw of the bracket onto the fuel tank hoses before installing both 2 bolts that require a torque of 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf). The installation of the fuel vent hose begins with coupling the pipe to the fuel tube connector while pushing the retainer until claws lock into position and checking for potential fuel tank vent hose damage both before and after installation. Emphasize the alignment between pipe and connector for the fuel tank before pushing it in until you hear the "click" which indicates proper attachment. The fuel emission hose together with one leak detection pump connector of two must be installed with clamps. Next follow with the installation of rear suspension brace lower RH and No. 1 fuel tank protector followed by center exhaust pipe assembly and front floor panel brace. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal while keeping in mind that system initialization might be necessary after cable reconnection and check for exhaust gas leaks.

How to install the Vapor Canister on Scion tC? Posted by Customer
    A:
Following the installation of the canister filter sub-assembly with a bolt to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf) torque set, connect its two hoses. Hanging the canister bracket claw onto the fuel tank hoses enables installation of the canister through two bolts tightened to 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf). Afterward, install the fuel vent hose. Check for scratches or foreign objects around the connection before proceeding because the retainer must be pushed up to lock the claws as you attach the pipe to the fuel tube connector. To properly attach the fuel tank vent hose pull both the fuel tube connector and the pipe firmly before linking the ventilator section to the piping until a clicking sound occurs. The fuel emission hose requires two clamps for installation along with the leak detection pump connector. You should proceed to install the rear suspension brace lower RH followed by the No. 1 fuel tank protector and the center exhaust pipe assembly before completing with the front floor panel brace. The system initialization must follow after connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal since system functions demand battery terminal initialization. As the last step, test for exhaust gas leakage.
