Stabilizer Bar, Rear

The first step to remove the rear sway bar kit from the Sport Suspension Package requires removing the rear wheels after applying 110 Nm of torque (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.). position the rear axle housing on a jack. Start by detaching the sway bar links when you remove the two nuts and the link while torquing them to 69 Nm (704 kgf-cm, 51 ft. lbs.). A hexagon wrench should be used to stabilize the stud when the ball joint stud accepts rotation when tightened with the nut. Perform this action also on the opposite side. You must take off the four bolts with their accompanying sway bar bushings and brackets from the rear axle housing while applying 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm) torque before separating the sway bar kit from the brackets.

By rotating the ball joint stud in all directions.

Inspect the stabilizer bar link ball joint boot for damage and check the ball joint for rotation condition by flipping the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times before installing the nut.
