The removal of the side Air Bag assembly begins by extracting the front seat using 2 seat track cover removal and 4 bolt uninstallation followed by disconnection of the side Air Bag connector while protecting the Air Bag wire harness. The process requires you to remove the headrest followed by the reclining adjuster release handle then the front seat cushion shield followed by inner front seat cushion shield before you detach the side Air Bag wire harness from the wire harness protector to complete the removal of 3 hog rings and 2 additional rings while finishing with seatback assembly bolt removal. To install the seatback assembly start by fixing four bolts using 43 N.m torque then gradually tighten bolts that begin with the right-front bolt. New hog rings should be installed while avoiding wrinkles in the fabric before securing the side Air Bag wire harness to the seat cushion through its wire harness protector. Mount the components of the seat bracket in sequence by installing the inner front seat cushion shield followed by the front seat cushion shield and reclining adjuster release handle and finally the headrest. To maintain safety when installing an automotive front seat begin by setting it at maximum forward extent then fasten it by letting go of the seat track control rather than using it. Connect and loosely torque the side Air Bag connector until you slide the seat into its backmost position to install and torque the front side bolts to 37 N.m (375 kg.cm, 27 ft.lb).

It should have a stripped wire harness section of at least 1.25 sq.mm (0.0019 sq.in).

Press the activation switch to deploy the airbag.

Move the tool at least 10 m (33 ft) away from the vehicle, close all doors and windows, and confirm that no one is inside or within 10 m (33 ft) of the vehicle.
