The procedures for installing the brake actuator assembly demand that you join it to the bracket by tightening 2 nuts while reaching an torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). The brake actuator assembly requires two bolts and one nut for installation onto the bracket. When tightening the bolts to 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) use caution to avoid brake tube and wire harness damage and follow installation ordering illustrated on the drawing. Connect the brake actuator connector while securely locking the lever before installing 6 brake tubes onto the actuator using Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 at the proper locations by applying torque up to 14 Nm (145 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) followed by 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) using a torque wrench with a 30 cm (11.81 in.) fulcrum length. Install the right headlight unit after placing the front bumper cover and the front fender liner onto both sides as well as installing the hood to front end panel seal. The right front wheel must receive a torque of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf). Next, attach the cable to the negative battery terminal before possible system initialization steps occur after battery reconnection. The process includes adding brake fluid to the reservoir followed by bleeding air from both the brake master cylinder and brake line. Additionally check the brake fluid level before inspecting for fluid leaks. Disconnection of the Hydraulic Control Assembly from the Antilock Braking system requires first removing the cable from the negative battery terminal followed by a 90-second minimum waiting period for Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner prevention; system initialization may be essential after reconnection. Immediate brake fluid draining is essential while properly cleaning any paint surface contamination with fluid. The removal process requires front right wheel removal and the hood to front end panel seal and left and right front fender liners and front bumper cover. The next step requires removing the right headlight unit itself. To remove the six brake tubes from the actuator use Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 while noting the original tubing positions. The connector for the actuator must be detached beforehand. The brake actuator can be detached from its bracket by removing the two bolts while unfastening the nut then removing the actuator with bracket while maintaining care for brake tubes and wire harness.

Note that some systems may require initialization after reconnection.
