How to remove the Liftgate Lift Support on the LH side on 2009 Scion tC?

Start by using a screwdriver to detach two stop rings along with the stay from the back door stay assembly LH. When removing the door stay it is best to use your free hand to support the back door. The steps for removal also apply to the RH side.
